Ive been wanting a Benchmade knife for a good while now. I got more serious about it and started doing some more research. I initially was looking for a spring assister folder with aluminum handles. That led me to the 470-1, and 477-1 Emissary knives. Then I ran across the 940, and loved the reverse tanto blade. Only thing was, it wasnt spring assisted. The more I read, the more I realized this is the near perfect EDC, (Every Day Carry) knife. Then I found a used one on EBay, located right here in Dayton. The guy had won it in a raffle and was selling it to purchase an even nicer knife. The knife turned out to be new in the box. The original blade has been custom stonewashed, a very nice looking upgrade. Upon getting home with it, I proceeded to disassemble it. All internal surfaces are now polished to 1500 grit, and the blade end polished with Flitz. It now drops freely, all while having absolutely no play in it. Truly amazing! It would not do that before the polishing. Im quite please with this beaute!
