Ive been watching American Idol and its not abnormal for one of the judges to ask a contestant, whats your heritage? Just another way of asking ones racial background. There is nothing wrong about it. I dont buy the I am Malaysian rhetoric, when asked about race. Our race is who we are, it shapes our culture and beliefs and should be celebrated. Just as so often seen in American Idol. Its the misuse of race to divide that has always been the issue, not the existence of races itself.
