Ive been working my butt off, scrimping and saving to update my house since I bought it in 2000. Its the quintessential money pit. And just this morning -- on a day when its 100 degrees in LA -- the installer guys turned on my AIR CONDITIONING for the first time! This house has been a great lesson in patience, due diligence and not expecting instant gratification. Now I just need to figure out whats wrong with the sprinkler system and the pool. Im the gardener and pool guy, and I should be fired. After three weeks of being away, green pool and dead plants. I got my die-hard do-it-yourselfer tendencies from my father. Thanks Pete! I love to tinker, but tonight Im just going to enjoy the new first-time-ever AC in my living room
