Ive come to call sinners to change the way they think and act, not to call people who think they have Gods approval, is what God answered to the Pharisees after being questioned, Why He choose to eat, and drink with tax collectors and sinners (Lk 5:32)? God teaches us He will be light to those who live in the dark and in death shadow. He said if we are weary of carrying heavy burdens, He will give us rest. His yoke is to be placed on our shoulders to learn from Him because He is gentle and humble. Then we can find rest for ourselves because His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. God had Christ, who was sinless, take our sin so that we might receive Gods approval through Him. He will guide us into the way of peace. He gave the right to become Gods children to everyone who believed in Him. We didnt become Gods children in a physical way, or from a human impulse, or from a husbands desire to have a child. We were born from God. Jesus guaranteed us a promise if we have faith in Him. He promised us that if we do not doubt, but believes what He say will happen, By His Word in our mouths we are able to say to mountains, move, and they will move, be uprooted, and thrown into the sea!! All to glorify Him through us. We must believe in our prayers through faith, if its His will, it will be given. We were all created for Gods purpose. We all have sinned, we all have fallen short of Gods glory. We have received Gods approval freely by an act of His kindness through the price Christ Jesus paid to set us free from sin. God showed that Christ is the throne of Mercy where Gods approval is given through faith in Christs blood. In His patience God waited to deal with the sins committed in the past (Old Testament). He waited so that he could display His approval at the present time (New Testament). This shows that He is a God of justice, a God who approves of people who believe in Jesus. Jesus, our Lord, was handed over to death because of OUR failures and was brought back to life so that we could receive Gods approval. Jesus Christs blood has now given us Gods approval, we are even more certain that Christ will save us from Gods anger. This is a statement that can be trusted and deserves complete acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. We must realize that we werent set free from the worthless life handed down to you from your ancestors by a payment of silver and gold which can be destroyed. Rather, the payment that freed you was the precious blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, the Lamb with no defects or imperfections. God chose us, we didnt choose Him. Gods choice does not depend on a persons desire or effort, but on His mercy.
