Ive come to the conclusion that our girls are just stressed, due to the fact that we have introduced 14 new layers into our flock in the past month or so. Ive been going on egg hunts just about every single day, with no good outcome. And it didnt make sense that every other day, there would be eggs in the nesting boxes, just not as many (only 2 out of 12!). I noticed this morning that they are all starting to fall into proper pecking order, which was extremely out of whack with adding that many hens into the group at once. I learned my lesson!
