Ive cried many times (quietly) in savasana after practice and those were often profound moments when I came to realisations that changed me afterward. The intensity of the practice, the teachers advice, and the peaceful rest and muscle release when combined together can put us in an open and receptive state that allows us to see how we can come to terms with our issues and find strength to move on.
