Ive decided upon a profile of the kind of person that often posts answers to sites like Answers dot com and Yahoo Answers, and apologise in advance to any people who post on there and are very helpful: 1) - neither very well travelled nor informed, but crucially theyre not aware of this 2) - writes confidently what they think is likely to be true without mentioning that its actually a guess 3) - doesnt research much ... 4) - ... but if they do, possibly gets most of their information from other dodgy web sites 5) - those of them that prefer to answer questions posited by females most definitely fit the character type known as a mansplainer 6)- in many cases are good at writing a full paragraph about other stuff they (think) they know, without answering the question directly - just because you dont know the answer, no reason to not answer, right? Wikipedia may often be a bit dodgy, but its still streets ahead of these things.
