Ive felt a connection to this song ever since I first heard it. A couple thoughts come to mind: 1st - I think of my mom and what a disappointment I was to her with my rebel ways. She was an amazing June Cleaver type mom. A couple FB friends down in Texas can attest to how wonderful she was back in our grade school days. My dad Duke, on the other hand, was the meanest most cold hearted man alive, but thats a story for another day. 2nd - I think of a 78 year old man I met in the depression program at a local hospital. He told stories of his life of (in his own words) being a lifelong rowdy, outlaw, hardcore biker, and thrill seeker....well, as he looks back now on his life, he has his regrets. His wives, who he was never faithful to, have passed on, as well as every friend he has ever had. Im quite sure he could relate to a number of lyrics in this song.... youtu.be/I1YwVrxC7Hc
