Ive followed baseball for a long time, and I know enough to know that 5 games is such a small sample size as to be statistically meaningless. As a Red Sox fan for my whole life, and a Seattle Mariners fan since 95, I have certainly had my share of disappointment, which is all the more profound when expectations are high. I KNOW I shouldnt do it, but Im drinking the Mariners kool aid. Their pitching is solid (now that they released Noesi), and theyre still waiting on Walker and Iwakuma. Their hitting is improved, and with their pitching they dont have to be the best offense in the league to win games. Im not saying theyre a 90 win team, but with the AL West looking weak this year, I think the Ms could sneak in. I already got my new Cano jersey, and I plan to attend more games this year. Im always a fan, but Im getting on this train early this year. 85 wins? 87 wins? Why not? And once youre in the playoffs ANYTHING can happen. Call me naive. Call me emotional. But Im all in. Now, how about reviving the 95 slogan: Refuse to Lose
