Ive got a rant to share. I have a number of smart friends and acquaintances who are studying in the UK, Australia, Russia, and US among others. From what I can see and what some have told me, some have their friends and family insult them for going all the way overseas only make friends with Malaysians (own race) there and not the white people. Meanwhile for my other friend, she gets insulted behind her back for only mixing with white people there and not with Malaysians, even earning the remark of aiya she wants to find a white boyfriend ma, for the sake of hitching a white husband and citizenship to escape from Malaysia. I swear, no matter how hard you try, one way or the other, some people would find fault with you anyway and you cant make EVERYONE happy, and thats saying something. Whats the moral behind this story? I dont know, at first thought, youd probably say something in the lines of.. dont care about what others think of you laahhh and all that. I wonder if theres a better opinion besides that, anyone?
