Ive got a totally new problem and I hope I did all I can do. I am in the process starting this evening to move all my buns into a small heated building. Brought in 7 does and a buck, he came in because his chin has been wet, Ive seen him dunk his face in water. Im switching them to water bottles so hoping he will dry out and look better. Anyway, got them in this evening and noticed him itching badly. Grabbed him out of his new cage and didnt see anything wrong but put him over on the other wall away from the girls. Watched him and sure enough he was very aggresively itching. I put liquid Ivermectrin above his shoulders and all the does that came in with him just in case what ever he has passes. Im thinking mites but really have no clue, Ive never had an issue with mites. I do h ave chickens that run under the cages and on occasion roost on top (the reason the rabbits are moving to their own shed). I was under the assumption that other animals cant get chickens mites but growing up I thought they could pass them. Thoughts? Is there anything else I can do for him?
