Ive got this one friend and she keeps beating me with a stick. I didnt even have to ask her nicely. Shes doing it voluntarily! I think she likes me. She seems to care about me. She keeps telling me I could do better. So much better! She keeps telling me my work could be better, my Facebook page could be better, my circle of friends could be better. Im not sure if shes a snob or she wants me to be more of a snob? Maybe both? What she does do is remind me that more is NOT necessarily better. Having 5000 Facebook friends does not mean your diary is going to be full of exciting events. That can be achieved with 10 people! What she does do is remind me that real friends will like me whatever I say, whatever I do, wherever I work, whatever my status, whatever my influence. Real friends remain. Fake friends eventually reveal their agenda. And like The Trouble keeps saying to me, Those that KNOW better, DO better!
