Ive got three sleeps and a wake-up and then Ill be winging my way to sunny Florida and the following morning Ill board a large cruise ship for 7 days in the Caribbean. How am I possibly going to get any sleep between now and then. Im heading for the biggest floating Christian barn dance in history. Groups like MercyMe and Tenth Avenue North will be aboard and theres John Lynch speaking, and many others. Im going to be dancing in the aisles until they forcibly remove me. Not when John is speaking, of course, but tie me down when the music plays. This obviously is not a cruise where Im going to be content to sit on deck in chairs and count the waves passing by. Nossir. I did enough of that on Navy transports while a Marine; without the chair, of course. This trip is for great music, powerful words, reconnecting with God, good food and drink, and perhaps a bit of salsa; not the kind you put on your tortilla chip either. This is bold talk for a skinny old man, but Im going to try to live up to them. With a little help from my friends, of course.
