Ive got to admit, Ive been getting a little cocky in the gym lately. That is until yesterday. I decided that Id put my own program to the test for the first time in a few months. And Im a little embarrassed to admit that I used to think bodyweight workouts were for WUSSIES!!! Well, until I was 5 minutes into the workout. As I kneeled over to catch my breath and wipe the sweat from forehead I said to myself This is really hard! After another 10 minutes, my heart rate was pumping fast and my entire body felt like it I hadnt worked out in years ( though I trained on Sunday). Listen, if you want to get back in shape (or just get in better shape) or just want an easy to follow workout, this is the EXACT workout for you. You could choose some crazy workout like P90X or Insanity that has you jumping around like a fool or you could choose the Weapon X workout that makes your body a more efficient machine. How? Because of the intensity of the Weapon X workout, you cant use it more than twice per week (though if you feel like being sore for days, use it 3 times). Weapon X is such a dramatic shift in your training because were working MULTIPLE energy systems. Its like telling you to lift a lot of weight then go for a sprint then try to jump really high. Imagine how high your heart rate would be! Simply put, it builds athletes. Todays lesson: When you finally start using a FULL range of motion and bodyweight exercises that challenge your body, you burn more calories. P.S-Dont be afraid of my story about having a high heart rate or being out of breath. If youre just starting out I include some Beginner workouts too
