Ive got to be honest after watching the last pre season friendly yesterday Im now more then a bit worried about next week. I dont understand how we can be so close to the new season and still (seemingly) have no idea what our best side is. Surely with such a new team we should have started yesterdays game with the team that will line up against Ipswich next week? These players need valuable game time together for what is a tough 1st game. We lacked any kind of cohesion and we should have lost quiet healthily to a team weeks behind us in terms of their pre season preparation. Granted there was some nice football going forward but we looked clumsy in defence (again). Surely weve learned from last season that the team has to be built and set up from back to front, we need to look strong defensively and we looked far from it against an average team. I know its only pre season but given the wholesale changes that we have undergone this season I cant see any benefit at all in the approach that we seem to be taking. This kind of chopping and changing cant be healthy at this late stage. Felix please tell me that there is a method to the madness becauseI for the life of me cant see it!
