I tried calling Secretary McDonald Tuesday morning. Wednesday morning, I was contacted by an employee in my VA hospitals Office of the Director. He said that the way the law is written, there is simply no way, not even attempting to get an exception from the Secretary, that they can authorize one red cent to let me have my trauma therapy in the private sector. He said that the higher-ups at the Birmingham VAMC really wish they could help me out, but the law forbids it.... Thank you to anyone who can assist. Could I get the POTUS to direct the law to be changed, if a Cabinet Secretary cannot even get this to work out in my favor?
