Ive got to tell you guys about whats been going on in my house this week. Dans sisters are here from Indiana, and its like having Alice (and her sister) from the Brady bunch show up! One of them has been doing ALL of the laundry. And when I say ALL, I mean ALL. The other day, the washer started making a weird noise, and Dan told her it was because it wasnt used to the flat-out pace its been keeping this week. She was after me yesterday because the sheets wont all fit in the linen closet. I said thats because theyre NEVER all clean at the same time. Ever. So we dont usually have that problem. Shes also after me about a lack of hangars. I told her again, we are NEVER at 100 percent laundry clean status, so the hangar shortage only happens when she is here. And she irons... Everything. I have clothes ironed right now that I have never seen an iron before. I think even my work clothes (aka pajama pants and T-shirts) are getting ironed. This morning I woke up to the smell of something cooking downstairs. Before I could go investigate, she appeared in my room with a perfectly fixed cup of coffee. Turns out it was pancakes, made from SCRATCH, cooking downstairs. With Hurricane Arthur churning its way up the East Coast, their departure tomorrow might be delayed. Do you suppose their families at home with notice if we keep them forever?!
