Ive got two identical bows with near matching limb deflections and the setups on them both are different. One bow is nocked higher than the other and center shot is different on both to produce the same groups. Wish this was going to be a short post but its not. The point Im attempting to make is these bows were set up lets say professionally. On the initial setups nocks were set the same and center shots were dead even. Mind you both of these bows are mine shot by me. Why are they different? I could explain that but it doesnt matter. What matters is taking the time to make the minor adjustments myself or scheduling time at the local proshop to work with the archery tech. When a bow is setup in a shop its going to be done in somewhat of a uniform fashion. Nock set, center shot set and a near perfect hole in paper. You pick up your bow and you shoot through paper or French or walk back tune with undesirable results and usually the first thing is to put down maybe bash the tech or shop a little. My point is your tech is setting things up to factory standards and should be to factory specs(timing, tiller, brace height, ect) the final tuning has to be done to the way you shoot your bow. Lots of shooters torque the riser with there grip, flinch when releasing the arrow, apply torque to the loop while anchoring, anchoring differently shot to shot and so many more things. In the end Im just saying there is lots more than just pulling back the string. All this cause I read some post here about tuning and arrow flight....not everyone shots the same and not every bow tunes the same.
