Ive gotten several requests for more of the serious ones. Heres one I wrote sometime ago. Hope you enjoy it. WHISPER IN THE DARK Hes called out to work In the dead of the night Hes not sure what happened But he knows its not right His Kevlar is on All tight and strapped down He muffles the noise As his boots hit the ground He jumps in his rig And drives out of sight It must be for real If theyve called him this night He trains all the time For calls just like this In the back of his mind He knows he cant miss His veins filled with Ice No mistakes and no games His tools the long rifle And Snipers his name He rolls up on scene Its a house full of dope Theres a hostage inside He dials in his scope Hes positioned above In the woods and the snow As he covers his Brothers On scene down below He patiently waits For the voice on the Mic Like a Viper so still Preparing to strike A crack of his neck As his cheek hits the stock His silencer in place Hes not here to talk A man in the window With a gun to her head Through the scope he can see The tears that she shed The green lights been given They can waste no more time The Reaper inside him Says one move and your mine The man down below Raised his gun to its mark Its the last thing he did Whisper in the Dark Written by: Troy Ryan Doss 12-8-2014
