Ive had a few people ask me how I am related to the Sauer family or if I am a family friend...No and no...who I am is a mom and a grandmother who was blessed with healthy children and grandchildren...When my oldest grandson, who is now 12, was a toddler he started shaking his head in a no gesture..it continued to increase to the point where we got concerned...My son and daughter-in-law took him for testing...the doctor told us that he thought it might be a brain tumor...we sat at the hospital anxiously waiting for the results...they were negative...and he outgrew the shaking...so when I first read about Bens story, it really touched me because that could have been my grandson and our family going through what Ben, Mindy, Andy and the whole Sauer family were going through...Ive never had the pleasure of meeting little Ben...I did get to see Mindy and hear her talk about Ben at the benefit that was held in March...I wanted to help this family in anyway possible...I donated baskets, attended the benefit, bought blue 4 Ben bracelets, shared Mindys blogs to try and help bring awareness to Ben in hopes that the more people that prayed possibly a miracle would happen and Bens tumor would go away...but God had different plans for this little man...when Ben passed away I sobbed...just to look at that precious face you couldnt help but fall in love with him...I started this page before Ben passed when there was still hope for a miracle...I never expected it to grow as much as it did..if I could reach a few people to help pray then I was happy...I was in awe when everyone started sharing and joining...seeing all the pictures of the lights, candles and signs last night had me in tears...I want to thank you all for helping me light up the night for Ben..God bless you all!!!
