Ive had a few people ask me if I was running for citizens gas board for the pay or the insurance. I thought it was a great question so I thought Id share with everyone my answer. Neither, and heres why, I had to sign over my rights from the day I turned in my petition to run for board stating that I cannot and will not do any contract work for example, strobe lights for the service trucks to keep the CGUD worker safe as they work along side of main highways during my run for board or after I win. I can earn more money doing contract work for them than a board member gets paid, I do not need the insurance because I have great insurance through my wifes employeer which is Oneida special school district. Im in the race to make sure that the customers always get the absolute best rates and to make sure that the employees that keep the gas company functional are taken care of also.
