Ive had a great weekend with my dance team. We attended the Heartland National Championship and brought home trophies in several performances and I couldnt be more proud of the accomplishments theyve made over the past year. Its strange to think that I wont be working with the same group of girls again. It breaks my heart that my seniors will be leaving but I know they are moving on to bigger and better things. Not only have I coached Briana and Samara but once upon a time I was their teammate. From dancing beside them to coaching in front of them, Ive not only seen them grow as dancers but as mature young ladies. My senior, Brittany has only started her dancing career this school year but has accomplished so much in so little time and is going on to dance at the college level. To hear these three talk about their dreams and goals after high school is truly impressive and Im so happy that they have such bright futures ahead of them. All of these girls have truly impressed me. Out of my 13 girls, 9 of them had never danced in high school before. This team is so talented and hard working, I couldnt have asked for a better group of girls. I cant wait to see whats in store for them in the years to come. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments this year!
