Ive had a hell of a day today...doing the job Im paid to do...I love it....All of it, warts and all and have done so for over 28yrs...It was hard going today at times, especially early on but it was a real privilege to be part of a professional team all, like me, doing a job they love and doing it so chuffing well. Whilst at the job we heard about more strike dates set for Aug 9th through to Aug 16th...It saddens us all...none of us want to do this and none of us want to let anyone down but we have to fight for what is right... Im 53 yo and I simply cannot imagine doing what Ive done today when I reach 59yo. .. PLEASE....PLEASE....take extra care during our strike periods and please remember, our fight isnt with you, its with this uncaring, uncompromising, self centred government.
