Ive had a lot of friends ask what big events are happening Columbus Pride 2014. With regards to the Pride Daytime Festival - is is a 2 day affair Friday and Saturday and both days are worth going. They have great entertainment, including our friend Alex Newell (Unique from GLEE). Sunday is BAT-N-ROUGE and it is a must do Pride Event. Please buy Dog Tags to support Stonewall - we have them available at Union to buy if you cant find them elsewhere. We are proud at Union-AXIS to host the only night time parties (in the AXIS Parking lot) where 100% of the proceeds go back to local charities. These events funded monies that last year went to Stonewall Columbus, AIDS Resource Center of Ohio, Stonewall Dems, Equality Ohio, HRC, Coyote Rugby, COMIC, CLGSA, Splash, Columbus Gay Mens Chorus, Capital City Pride Band, Flaggots Ohio, CMTO (Tennis) and many more. The Friday and Saturday evening events are the largest Nighttime Pride Parties and we have a great lineup and they are a blast. FRIDAY NIGHT is the Andrew Christian Swimwear Fashion Show with 20 amazing models followed by BETTY WHO. Betty Whos song Somebody Loves You was featured in the Home Depot marriage proposal ad and was a #1 Billboard Dance Hit (the guys got married on the Grammys while Madonna serenaded them). Of course inside AXIS - dancing all night long and the outside admission gets you in AXIS also. Checkout her Bettys latest video here. https://youtube/watch?v=KzUz0sfxcMo SATURDAY NIGHT we have Dragapalooza with Nina West and Virginia West hosting DWV. Inside Dancing all night as well. The VIP meet and greet tickets for Saturday are almost sold out and Friday is getting close too. General Admission are available in advance and the gates. The beauty of the events is that we started a Foundation in 1996 and this non profit has donated over $1 million back into Ohio GLBT charities with these events being the main reason. So every cocktail you buy outside and the door cover you pay helps to fund all of these groups. I personally recommend you buy early to get discounted pricing and also avoid the lines. On that note - almost all of the gay owned and operated venues also donate back something so we encourage you to visit a GAY OWNED and GAY OPERATED venue Pride Weekend if you choose to venture out. If not us, visit Level, Wall Street, Slammers, Exile, La Fogata and so many more (sorry for omissions) that donate back to Stonewall and other groups as well. HRCs philosophy of wise spending to obtain rights is very valid and this is our weekend to show it. You can enjoy a great party as your method of giving back :) Our team is so excited to be a part of Pride and as always, we thank every one of you that come out and support us. That support makes all of this giving possible. Best, Raj
