Ive had an idea relating to my research fluttering round me for about two and a half weeks now like a sadistic moth, and Ive been getting more and more frustrated with it. Every time I turned my head to try and tackle it head on, it skirted to the other side of my vision, just out of reach. I couldnt quite articulate what is was that was niggling away at me. Eventually I sat down this evening and decided to basically write related nonsense until it started to make sense to me and, within about twenty-five minutes, Id manage to trap the little bugger down on the page in front of me. I mean, its ugly and only partially coherent at present, but at least Ive caught it. And no-one is here to celebrate. And no-one will really understand just how much this has lifted a weight off my shoulders. And next time I try and avoid starting to write please just slap me. And if this is the biggest problem in my life right now then Im one lucky, lucky lass.
