Ive had awful reception but wanted to post an image of a hybrid goose from Lubbock, which I suspect has some Barnacle Goose ancestry. It was in with many Cackling and Canada Geese at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Thursday Afternoon. Based on the facial pattern, I suspect this is a Barnacle X Cackling Goose. Neck length and small bill, along with body shape fit Cackling while the odd amount of white, especially on the forehead seems to recall Barnacle.
