Ive had it with US Army Recruiting Command, MEPS and all other Administrative bodies involved therein. It has taken me 6 months plus to obtain conditional release from the NYS National Guard to the Army Reserves; hitting every possible snag along the way from lost paperwork, defaulted appointments, disinterested recruiters, lazy civilians, tattoo misunderstandings and finally (the latest) having no slots available in the unit that I have been set to join since March. The icing on the cake today was that my recruiter came and got me from MEPS around 3:20pm. On the highway we called the station commander and he flipped out that we left; saying they were ready to have me sign the contract. Now I have to go back up to MEPS, AGAIN and miss the fourth day of work in a row, again.
