Ive had my fair share of moments when my eating was erratic and all over the shop, my workouts coming to a halt, and my head just not in the game.. Some days Id eat nothing but convenience food, and others Id only eat twice, with my second meal of the day lasting from afternoon until bedtime. Exercise has also been difficult to stick with at times - going from working out a consistent 5 days a week to maybe once on the weekend if I felt up to it. During these time periods my actions were in conflict with my thoughts and goals, and this is what makes you feel OUT OF CONTROL. To pull yourself out of these slumps and correct your course, you have to do something to realign what you want with what youre doing. You have to revisit your purpose for not just losing weight, but for getting stronger, more fit, and healthier. There is always an emotional trigger that initiates the desire for change. You have to go back to that, re-experience it, and then do something different. This single new action you take is what will serve as the launching pad for new behaviours and habits. It will help to create the habit snowball effect, where new healthy habits are created at a quickening pace. Armed with a renewed sense of purpose, and having taken a small action to create a new habit, you will feel back in control and ready to live out your vision. Now fast forward to where I am now in my journey getting in enough exercise to meet my goals is easy and I seldom miss planned gym sessions and my willpower muscles are strong with a deep love for whole foods. Were all going to be faced with difficult times. Even the healthiest of people have periods of time when their actions arent in line with their beliefs. The key is to quickly identify those moments and then take action. Because if you change nothing, nothing will change. Much love and happy Friday guys!! :) :)
