Ive had several friends get tickets with fines on the SF Muni when - TopicsExpress

Ive had several friends get tickets with fines on the SF Muni when they could not find their transfers. This happened to me three years ago during my first ride on Muni when I lived in SF. The SF bridge was closed so I could not drive to work and had to work out alternate transportation. Wearing work clothes and with a work bag, I fished around for my transfer but could not find it. The Muni policeman was unnerving, almost felt like he was itching to work me over or something. I wrote in a complaint that it was my first time on Muni and asked them to kindly waive the fine. All of the signs (there were at least a dozen signs - each with a different purpose) were obscured by an overcrowded Muni train and I could not read them. Of course the fine was not waived. I keep hearing about these sorts of incidents with SF Muni. Has anyone else had this kind of experience on SF Muni?
