Ive had some great appointments with my oncologist and now that Ive talked to my children and siblings, its OK to post on here. I have decided to be more proactive with my health, and since Im high risk for cancer multiple times in life , and actually my insurance agrees with me and my doctors, Im having a mastectomy on December 23rd. This truly is good news as it decreases my risk for the cancer to return . As well as my body will be balanced again. Lol. Im all for decreasing those chances! As my doctor said I will be liberated...no more bras! Also had really good news that my genetic testing for BCRA 1 AND BCRA 2 came back negative! Im so thankful for the opportunity I have, with the help of a great medical team, to make these choices. For those of you who wonder because of the holiday....its an excuse to stay in bed for me...haha. With Amber and Troy and the grandkids in another state, it will be phone calls still, so truly it does not change any plans. Im posting now, because as I prepare for Christmas and surgery, I may forget later in the month. God bless and have a wonderful Monday night and week!
