Ive had some great visits with some of the area musicians, as they stopped into the shop over the last few days. This past Saturday, I was finally able to meet one of the premier guitar builders in the area, and play one of the fine, fine guitars created by Denny Kopp. Denny is a great guy, and if you want an elite instrument, make sure to check out his offerings. I also had a great visit with Richard Waggoner when he stopped into Fremont Music Center. Dicky Jo and I go way back to the 1990s when we played music together. We talked about the old times, and it was really enjoyable to travel down memory lane. Today, I got to visit with Bill Binder Sr. when he stopped in to pick up a repair. Through our conversation, Bill reminded me that it has been three years since the passing of Jimmy Adams. It just doesnt seem that long. Jimmy was a great guy, with a big, big heart. The pictures Im including are from the tribute show put on in his honor back in 2012. Im sure it would have made him proud to see all the musicians that turned out to perform. I got to know the family a bit more through that experience, and I can see why he was so proud of all of them. I want to thank all the guys who have stopped in to visit! Its a privilege for me to call you all friends!
