Ive had this comfy leather chair for 20 years. It is the best - TopicsExpress

Ive had this comfy leather chair for 20 years. It is the best chair we own. It has lived in Nashville, Bloomington, Newburyport and now here. It is scarred from much use and many memories were made in this chair. The ottoman has a coffee stain and a corner which was chewed off by Jackson Brown, a chubby, manic little brown Lab puppy that lived with Jeff N Ashley Hickman for a while. But I stitched that up. In the time weve owned this chair, weve lived with four regular dogs and a few visiting dogs. And dogs love this chair. Sam Bone Blues claimed it first. She was our big old goofy yellow Lab and she could curl her huge self up just small enough to fit in this thing. Then Levi Bone Blues took a turn. He also loved this chair and even though his long Bloodhound legs hung over the edge, it was his favorite spot to nap. Judah Blues, who is actually Levis dog and some weird mix of Blue Heeler-Lab-John Belushi, is the first dog small enough to stretch out and use the armrest to lay his head on so he can keep an eye on things. Fast forward to our newest family nember, Judahs dog, Red Betty Blues...she decided to redesign the chair. With the stuffing on the outside. All the dogs have done that walk-in-a-circle-scratch-the-ground thing, so each has contributed to a small tear in the cushion. Ive repaired it a few times. But Betty found a tiny little hole in the cushion where Id repaired it, and ate its insides. And sadly, this is beyond my leather working skills. Its a good thing shes cute. But shes going to need a job or something to take care of this repair bill. EMPLOYMENT WANTED: Mighty Fine Weiner Dog seeks job as a Greeter, Bouncer, Demolition Expert or Elvis Impersonator.
