Ive heard so many people complain about their kids always wanting expensive things and not valuing money but they fail to realize that they created that monster. When parents are always buying their kids expensive stuff you are teaching them to not value the almighty dollar. As parents who are kids first teachers what we need to do is instill these values in them to save and to value money as well as value hard work. one suggestion set some guidelines and make them work for the allowance. Once your child accumulates a certain amount of money then you can open up a bank account for them with a checking and savings. Teach them how to budget their account and save save save. When they want something special for instance if they want to go to the movies or something like that they can use their own money. Eventually your child will feel a sense of pride in buying something with money they earned. In addition, I guarantee when they go shopping they will not strive to purchase the most expensive thing in the store since its coming from their own wallet lol. Your welcome in advance! :-)
