Ive honestly been really surprised and taken back by the support and the amount of people who reached out to me after my post last night. It was really eye opening to get feedback from people, and to hear how many people I know are in more or less the same position I find myself at the moment. Ive more or less arrived at realizing that Ive been feeling really under appreciated by the people around me for a little while, and I dont know if its because Im a needy person or Im just not as respectable as Id like to be. So my goal for the mean time is to try to effect the one variable I do have control over which is myself. If I dont feel like Im well respected enough I need to earn it, but I think the first step is learning to respect myself more. Its going to be a struggle for me because Ive suffered with self confidence issues all of my life, but if Im not happy with the person I am, I dont know how I can expect to feel like others are happy with who I am. Thanks again for all of the kind words, its meant a lot.
