Ive just done census (a cool 30 minutes spent). The question structure is interesting. After asking the respondent how many phones he/she has, and whether he or she uses internet, and where they get International news from, whether they own a mosquito net, and whether they use irrigation, pesticides & fertilizers, the next segment deals with whether the respondent can afford soap, salt & sugar (the Ugandan basics)! Maybe we have reached a level where people can afford internet and mobile phones, but not soap, salt & sugar.
