Ive just enjoyed another chicken from Sean Middletons Heritage Farmers Market shop. Delicious as usual. It got me to thinking: given were losing the post office and the bank I feel it is now more imperative we support out local businesses. How awful would it be to lose the lot? We have an excellent butcher/deli, two amazing gift shops, a lovely gallery, baker, chemist, solicitor, pubs, B&B, indoor football club, library and not to mention your trulys property management business. Lochwinnoch isnt short of a bob or two so lets embrace what we have left and shop locally. And, although we dont like it, support the staff in Spar as they are facing a major challenge and keep what is essentially a make-shift post office local.
