Ive just left a dating website and they asked why I wouldnt recommend it. This was my answer... I believe in meeting people in the real world approaching them to talk and chat, not to hide behind the profile of a dating website. Social networks and dating websites are killing conversation with people outside confined groups. Dating websites kill the romance in meeting someone, not to mention put people together who dont get on or find each other attractive, when meeting in person. People are extremely picky and giving them a catalogue where they pick and choose Mr or Mrs Perfect is a recipe for disaster. It gives people too many options which can make views jaded. In the real world people click in different ways... Chemistry! Dating websites are like a sale with only the XXL or the stuff no one wants. The pretty ones are bombarded with messages and sometimes nasty or perverse ones, which gets peoples backs up and brings out the worst in them. Profiles are cringey and obnoxious. Pictures do a lot of people justice on here and when you meet up they dont look like them. They dont even buy you drinks until they do! I also dont think people are aware of what average and athletic is on the scale of body type. Ive actually had more fun and satisfaction writing this! Hope this answers your question.
