Ive just received two letters from Age Concern. The first I opened was to tell us that our bid for a winter celebration was not successful. 😭 The second letter was asking us as a group to have a discussion on isolation and loneliness as we get older. This is an important topic and an issue that can affect all of us in later life. We may be part of a couple now, but what happens when one of us passes away. Age Concern has sent a poster with the points we should cover. I thought that rather than discuss this in the Vine, I would ask people to come here and Ill put on a cup of tea/coffee and a mince pie. Ive set a date, please write it in your diaries, Saturday 13 December, at 3 pm. Please do try to come as it will be a nice pre-Christmas get together and it may help. As December is a very busy month for me, Id really appreciate it if you could let me know if you are able to come and Ill know how many mince pies etc to make.
