Ive just sent off the latest story to its editor. At the very end of last year, I took on a sort of personal challenge and accepted a fistful of writing opportunities. More than a fistful. They were all too good to turn down, and it had been a while since Id really stretched myself. I didnt foresee the other fist, however, which turned out to be full of famiy crises. Nevertheless, as I took care of my loved ones, I met every single deadline - until this last one. Fortunately, I had an understanding editor in Deborah Ross, and she gave me sufficient time to finish. I hope Ive justified her faith. Still, I finished them all, and proved something to myself in the process. Now, Im taking two days off for personal time and meditation. Just two days. Then, if all my karmic ducks are still lined up, Ill plunge into another waiting project, a big one, and hopefully bring that off with newfound excitement and vitality. I feel good. No, I feel great. And thats a feeling to embrace and savor. And few of you have any idea what Im rattling on about. But, hey, sometimes facebook can be a good place to talk to yourself, too. :) Here - enjoy some geese.
