Ive landed safely in Chicago. We dont have wildfires. If we did, theres plenty of water with which to extinguish them. We have seasons but theyre usually too hot or too cold. Weve even got a football team. Still, Ive never been much of a sports fan. I didnt realize just how much I missed the desert, the dirt, the dry heat. For now, I dont mind this flat, green, midwestern landscape but Im certain I want to die in L.A.
