Ive lost a child, my first child was in the hospital for 5 months - TopicsExpress

Ive lost a child, my first child was in the hospital for 5 months wound up getting a trach and on top of that has a super rare syndrome that affects her ability to move her face. My wife had trouble with both pregnancies and got really sick during those times. I cut off the tip of my finger when I was seventeen but the doctors were able to reattach it. I was out of work for 3 years and lived on couches. My parents went through and ugly divorce and dragged us through it too. I ran from God. I came back to God. Sometimes we have money troubles. I struggle with my faith and boldness to share what I know is the most important thing ever... the Gospel. And so much more. I have a friend who told me that he realizes that he cant quit no matter what because people need God. And at times Ive thought but you havent been through what Ive been through. But today for some reason I realize the importance of what he was saying. There are people, some whom I dont even know, most of whom I dont even know, that are counting on me to be reliable in this walk with God. No matter how hard it gets. Help me Lord to be consistent, not perfect, but consistent. Hebrews 12:1-2 AMP THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us, Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [Ps. 110:1.]
