Ive missed my FB family this week and hope the feeling was mutual. I spent the better part of the week at the VA hospital in Durham. God is able and right on time, all the time. Went there this past Monday thinking I was going to fill a couple prescriptions and return home. Luckily one of my prescriptions had expired and required going through the Emergency Dept. in order to get a doctor to sign off on my refill. Once the ER nurse discovered that I was experiencing level 6 chest pains and totally blessed me out for behaving so irresponsibly and nonchalantly about my condition, was remanded for further monitoring. Although none of the tests showed any problems with, or damage to, my heart the ER team decided to keep me overnight for further tests, including a stress test the next morning. Thankfully, because of the stress test, it was discovered that the bottom compartments of my heart were not receiving sufficient oxygen. I discovered, after the procedure to open up the affected arteries, that there was a 99% blockage!!! So on Wednesday afternoon I had 2 stents placed in my heart. I am currently recovering under the love and care of my son and family. Dont think any doctor could have prescribed a better route to recuperation!!! Just ask that everyone remember me in their prayers for a speedy and full recovery. Love you all, and want you to know it is greater than I would have ever thought imaginable being able to be back with you here today...especially considering the alternatives!!! To God be the glory!!!
