Ive never been one of those hippie Save the trees types, despite my love of Earths nature, but I need to come out in favour of proactivity on climate change. It is absolute zero here in Kingston right now, and that doesnt just suck; its coming off of the end of a warm December, so its BULLSHIT. Ive read recently from the EPA that at our rate of carbon output, life on Earth has until 2110 at the latest. What Im saying all this for, is not to lecture or educate, but to beg; I NEED you to stop giving stupid people the spotlight. I can see how we thought it might be fun, but the fact that our government is run by people who ACTUALLY think climate change is up for debate is REALLY scary. This world is dying, and its the corporations and mass polluters that are killing it. We cant save ourselves just by recycling, and average people dont pollute enough for this much concern; its the industrial complex that is the problem, and they refuse to believe it, so we need to leave them behind. We have an election this year in Canada, and I dont care for whom you vote, just in the name of God, and in the name of all of us, dont vote for the Conservative Party; The alternatives suck too, but Harpers policies will LITERALLY kill us all.
