Ive never been one to share a lot of intimate details on social media. Ive kept the last couple of years of my personal life very private, mostly because it was a boundary I needed to set in order to slowly process and heal from some very difficult transitions. With that said, I feel like Im finally at a place where Im ready to share. Bobby and I separated for a time last year, and again earlier this year. After two years of marriage counseling, we accepted that the problems within our marriage were beyond repair. For those of you who may want to express an opinion of disappointment, I join you. Going through a divorce was awful. No one was more saddened, or disappointed, than us. Our hearts broke, but we remain friends who care for each other greatly. In an effort to uphold each others character, we maintain that the intimate details of our struggles be kept between us, and hope that will be respected. Over the last 10 months I have leaned hard on my church, my family and my dearest friends. I am so incredibly grateful for how they have upheld me during a very difficult time. Ive gone through the different stages of grief, a DivorceCare support course through my church, many, many hours with a wonderful therapist, and now, my heart has filled back up with the joy only The Lord can provide. Im in a good place, so no need for worries, but prayers for continued growth and happiness are welcome, and very much appreciated :)
