Ive never heard of an Emergency Room being on lock-down, have you? CMC-Northeast ER in Concord has been on lock-down for several hours and will likely remain this way for several more hours. Some gunshot victims were brought in several hours ago and the lock-down immediately followed. I can only guess why this necessitated this action. Officers are standing guard, no one is allowed beyond the waiting area. Incoming ER patients are carefully screened before taken into the ER. Betty and I went to check on my uncle, who was already in the ER prior to the gunshot victims coming in, and his wife who is there with him. Visitors already with a patient in an ER room can not return if they leave the room. I was able to talk to my aunt via phone. She shared that her husband, Kenneth Powers, is being admitted. His condition is serious. Im asking all of my FB friends to please include Ken in your prayers. His wife, Bernice, is my mothers sister. My mother had six sisters (1 died very young, 2 died at birth) and six brothers. Bernice is the only surviving sibling. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
