Ive never really fought for anything in my life. I always said that I would stand up for what I believed in. During this election period, this is exactly what I did. I am PLEASED, EXCITED and PROUD to announce that I will be serving UTM students as the next VP Equity on UTMSU for the 2014-2015 term. I would like to thank my amazing team, #utminspire, for they have been there for me every step of the way. I would also like to thank the amazing volunteers, my family, God, and everyone who helped out with our campaign from the jump. Congratulations to all the candidates. I cant wait to get started on changing the discourse on rape culture through the No means No campaign, facilitating anti-oppression workshops, know your rights workshops, creating an equity handbook, lobbying for Multi-Faith space and many more initiatives to make UTM a safe, inclusive and accessible campus. A special THANK YOU to everyone who voted!! This is truly my passion & personal legend and I cant wait to embark on this new journey!
