Ive not yet seen Noah. Ive thought about it, but theres a number of other movies coming out in the near future that I find more interesting on the front end. Having said that, I dont recall a huge surge of anger coming from the evangelical sect when Steve Carell starred as a Noah-esque character in Evan Almighty - so maybe Darren Aronofsky should have named his protagonist, oh I dont know, lets say George. Being an atheist, he then could have claimed You mean theres a story like this in the Bible? HA! Who knew?. Then maybe, just maybe, the film would be judged on the merit of whether it is art (or not) instead of being judged for everything else its beings judged for. Honestly, I could care less. Im just looking for a good movie to go spend my $10 on.
