Ive posted in here before telling you about my son who has unfortunately been suffering with pro longed complex seizures. Lasting on avarage between 20-55 minutes. (Heres a pic of him as a reminder) Since he was 11 months old (& hes just turned 3) we have spent alot of time on the childrens ward in Withybush hospital days & nights & were so greatfull for every bit of their help. Wednesday night he had a seizure again.. this time seemed more frightening than others however it wasnt for as long but we cud see the fear in his face before one came on & he had stopped breathing! Well im writing here to tell you all about our night & experience for our 1st time without Withybush & Im absolutely discusted & so upset it took 45 minutes for an ambulance to come out to us!! during that time he had a 10minute+ seizure & then stopped breathing & was blue for a minute maybe more with a useless lady on 999 not even giving usefull advise to what to do or where the ambulance was. Someones going to die before this mess is sorted. Were lucky he came around!! Hes oxygen levels dropped meaning he was admitted onto the childrens ward in Glangwili after a few hours of trying to get him on oxygen & his levels back up in a bed in a&e. How can they put childrens lives at risk like this!!!... is someone waiting for a death before sense is seen?! 45 minute wait for an ambulance to an none breathing 3yr old plus the journey to Carmarthen. What a joke!!! One very upset mammy!!! The lady on 999 was far from helpful while he wasnt breathing & struggling to after. I will be putting in a huge complaint.. but I bet it wont even make the slightest difference?!! Im so upset we was even in this situation & others will be! Im just thankfull 1st response came! In which time he had luckily started breathing, but thats not the point he was without an hospital & the correct care & we was all still waiting half hour after 1st response came for the ambulance to take us to hospital while my little boy was out of it & not so good on buccalam!!
