Ive posted previously about my struggle to find a retail...even though I have great references, excellent rental history, never had an issues with rental payments, no breeches, I have savings. Plus I have just sold my business as I will be homeschooling my special needs daughter for a year before she starts school aged 6..... ...And the fact I believe there is discrimination in these companies as I am a single parent who will be out of work for the year...(Never mind that I have savings and have budgeted for this) Well, I have a friend who works for Ray White (not in Hervey Bay) and today he asked me how my search was going... I told him I am still trying to find something. His response..... Um well you are a single mum with no job, so no you wont get a house. And continued to judge with.... Come on, would you give someone like you a house.... Lets just say I didnt hold back on my answer!! So this confirms it. Even my friend wouldnt bother using the information from my past rental history or experiences, look at my actually circumstances or look at the bigger picture before automatically discarding my application. This made me so angry today!
