Ive posted too much today, but this Adrian Peterson thing is nauseating. Anybody defending him needs to remember that he had a child die violently from child abuse less than a year ago. Apparently that had so little of an impact on him that he thought it was okay to hit a FOUR YEAR OLD with a switch so hard and so many times it drew blood on his legs and testicles. If you need to pop a kid on the bottom to get their attention, thats one thing. But to bruise a 4 year old is beyond belief. If that is how you were raised, that was wrong too, and your parents were wrong as well. I behaved as a kid because I knew my parents loved me and I didnt want to disappoint them, or maybe because I wanted some cookies after dinner, but never because I was afraid of a beating. Fear of violence is a terrible way to teach good behavior. I got one spanking of any significance my entire childhood, and as a result I have enormous respect for my parents. Provide the right example for your kids.
